Overview
The concept of healing can be vague, broadly indicating working on ourselves and coming to accept who we are and our experiences, and facing the hard stuff. This program aims to cover the foundational topics of what it takes to heal our psychological wounds, starting from the basics of getting to know ourselves and listen to our bodies, to the consistent types of things we encounter as we progress, as well as general approaches that can result in lasting transformation, followed by an opportunity to try it out!
Everyone has different pain and experiences, a different path to healing, and a unique internal world, no one other than ourselves will know what is truly best for us, nor have all the answers we seek. It is not necessary to have any belief system to do the work of healing oneself, but there is a need for connecting to love and self-compassion, which people often find through some form of faith or spirituality. Access to this love is an inherently human experience, and all are welcome no matter how they approach this.
It is possible not just to manage the symptoms of mental health conditions, but heal them, along with the physical ailments that stem from them by addressing how trauma is stored in the body. While we can never return to being who we were beforehand, we can heal to the point of being free from the negative effects and grow from the experience. By meeting ourselves with love and seeking to be more and more loving as we find our sense of wholeness, we can embody love and bring it into the world.
Over Spring we will explore how to build and approach our unique paths through talks, meditations, and discussion, then over Summer those who are interested in getting into it themselves can do so with supportive one-on-one sessions.
Spring 2026
A series of seven sessions that will each begin with a contemplative exploration of the day’s theme, followed by a guided meditation, then some time for discussion.
Schedule of Themes:
Week 1 – Introduction to healing and the nervous system
Week 2 – Gathering tools and building a practice
Week 3 – Facing our pain and shadow parts
Week 4 – Meeting our inner child and our formation
Week 5 – Coming to terms with death, grief, and letting go
Week 6 – Approaches to obstacles and challenges along the way
Week 7 – Integrating changes and gathering wisdom
If you are interested in joining the Summer 2026 individual program, then it is highly recommended that you attend as many of these Spring sessions as possible. If you are just curious you are free to drop in to any or all of them, though they will make more sense in context with each other.
Meditation can often be intimidating for those who are unfamiliar with it, or find that sitting still is difficult, these sessions are meant to be freeing, and while we do our best not to disturb others, there will be no requirement to hold yourself still, sometimes movement is what brings our minds into calm. No prior experience with meditation is necessary, in this program it is viewed as a tool, not an art to be mastered.
If you wish to sit on the floor, please bring a mat, pillow, blanket, or whatever else you might want.
Summer 2026
Twelve weeks of individual sessions with a suggested frequency of a session every other week, but it is entirely up to what each person needs. These sessions are 60-90 minutes, and they can take various forms, depending on what you’re wanting to focus on. For those setting up a practice for the first time, we can explore and tailor practices to best suit you, what you’re dealing with, and that appeal to you. If you are going deeper, we can explore new methodologies, or dive farther with what you already do.
One of the core needs for healing is safety, and safe relationship. These individual sessions aim to provide a space where you will find no judgement, only unconditional love and acceptance of all of you. The time we spend together is yours, we can discuss what you’re working on, explore different approaches to the work and challenges, or I can accompany you as you work through and release difficult emotions and experiences. What you work through and to what degree is always entirely up to you. My style of support is most suited to those just beginning and those ready to dive deep.
On top of individual sessions you will have access to an optional private online group space for peer support and sharing.
If you’re interested in joining the Summer session, please get in contact and we can discuss if it’s a good fit for you. There is capacity for twelve people in the Summer session.

About Avi

My background is in the physical sciences, systems thinking, and transformational change. I am a lifelong practitioner of yoga (postures, breathing, and meditation), having grown up with the teachings and guidance of Baba Hari Dass. My life has been shaped by trauma and complex trauma, which has led me to engage in and learn many healing methodologies, and find out first hand how we can be free of our psychological wounds and change at a fundamental level.
Healing from deep wounds takes lots of time and diligent effort, and my own journey continues, I have more to heal and gladly lots more to learn. I am excited to pass along the things I have learned and support you as you also become your own healer.
A short documentary about my healing journey, filmed on Bute, is available to watch here!
I have experience with: PTSD, complex trauma, narcissistic abuse, anxiety, gender and sexuality, neurodivergence, systemic oppression, as well as transforming the roots of perfectionism, negative self-talk, low self-esteem, fear of rejection, and more.
I have familiarity with psychological and evidence-based methodologies as well as spiritual paths, including: Internal Family Systems, mindfulness and self-compassion, somatics and embodiment, visual art, writing, yoga (postures, breathing exercises, meditation, and philosophy), the teachings of Christ, dream journaling, tarot and more.
I am happy to work with you with whatever tools you are drawn to, and whatever things you’re having to process, even if they are unfamiliar to me.
